View Full Version : JSP CF Hood 96-04 Group Buy
UnderdogSDA

I guess we'll just add on another hood group buy. But its alittle diffrent this time:
JSP Carbon fiber hood group buy, for 96-98 OEM style, 99-04 OEM style, and 99-04 functional Ram air S scoop style.
All we need is 5 hoods total, between all the styles, to get these prices!
96-98 OEM CF Hood - $451
00-04 OEM CF Hood - $451
00-04 ram air hood - $488
Shipping on hoods will be $75 on the east coast and $120 on the west coast, the mississippi river is the dividing line.
If we can get more than 5 hoods than the discount will be a little better.
Heres some pics:
http://www.jspamerica.com/images/catalog/CFH029.jpg
99-04 OEM
http://www.jspamerica.com/images/catalog/CFH015S.jpg
Example of the 99-04 ram air style, hood pic is actually for a cavy
Why JSP hoods are better? UV protectant clear coat is used instead of gelcoat , no yellowing of fiber of coating. (many others use gel coat)
Finished undersides in gloss black, extremely lightweight, just to name some.
GB ends in 3 weeks from today.
Any questions feel free to give me a call at 716-536-6239 or PM, post or email.
Thanks,
Mike

Unfortunatley I dont have a picture of the 99+ GA with the S scoop, I may be able to get one in a few days I will keep you all posted on that.
To get in on the buy just PM me and we'll take it from there.
The 96-98 Hood will be available after this group buy. It has already been made but I think there is only a couple that are on cars right now.
Any other questions just ask!
BTW: If anyone is intrested, I may be able to make a functional ram air set up for the 99+ hood with the S-scoop. It would be extra and I would need one on a car to work on, but I have alot of experince in all that...if anyone is intrested.

It's been two weeks with little action on this group buy. Do you have a picture of the hood? Do you have a hood?
You "may be able to make it functional". Your first post says that it is functional.

The scoop is functional, I said I could make it a "INTAKE" that would use the scoop so it would be RAM AIR. I didnt say that the scoop isnt functional.
Its not my fault there isnt much action on this group buy.
Sorry, but im in the office in buffalo, the factory is in hamilton, I can only ask them for pictures. Its been made before, so there is a mold already, otherwise we wouldnt offer it.

Yes that style has already been made and would fit your car. The mold is waiting.....

Unfortunatley a seperate mold would have to be made and is very costly, if the intrest was show, im sure we could do it, but right now there is no plans for it. Sorry.

Next time you should set-up a group buy and HAVE the actual pictures, that always helps.

Actually, you called it a functional ram air set up, not an intake. Your first post refers to the hood as 99-04 functional Ram air S scoop style. They are similar and sounded the same to me.

There may be more action if you posted some pictures, logged on more than once a week or followed up on leads of people that actually want to buy your hood.
I was ready two weeks ago to drive to your headquarters and slap your hood on my car. It been tough to even buy something from your company. A week ago you said in a private message that you would get back to me with more info the next day. I'm still waiting.

Im sorry for any misunderstandings. I know (tenspeed) you were ready to buy ASAP. But this is a group buy, these special prices come into effect when there is the required # of people that want to buy at the end of it or before that. Usually if group buys cant meet the # of required people then it wont go thru.
So far we have 3. Anyone else?

I was thinking. If I buy a body kit for the 96-98 series (I have the 92-95), would the 96-98 OEM CF hood fit then?

Is JSP only making this hood for this group buy, or is this going to be a part that's regularly available? I'd like to join this buy, but I've just started a small business and cash is tight - I'd like to be able to buy it on my own in a few months.

I'm in on the CF hood the Scoop one, but I would like to see an actual picture 1st.
UnderdogSDA
09-30-2004, 10:44 AM
Looks like this isnt going to happen.Regular price on the hoods is 569.95 - 609.95 depending on the syle. They are a part that is made and will be offered in our permanent offerings.
But if you go to www.gogoracer.com they have really good deals on JSP Hoods I think the price on there is like $4xx something
Tenspeed since your local we can work something out, call me at JSP and I'll get ya set.

I see you've come over to check it out. The buy should still be going, but who knows, this one seems to be unproductive. Hopefully it goes through for you and the rest interested. :)

Guess what guys! I finally got some pictures.
I know some seemed upset at me/this GB, but please keep in mind that im only the messenger, I dont run the company and I can only ask for things, like pictures.
The factory is in canada and were in NY, so I cant just stop by to take some pics, but I have some now, finally,
Trust me, it pisses me off too.
