You have not updated pic of a full body shot?
From what I can see she looks good.
Nice job on the engin bay.
Very nice!
How much was the manifold? And where did you get it?

I got one off someone on quad4forums. But you could probably pick up an HO manifold off a 89-94 grand am or just about any other nbody with the 2.3L quad 4 HO. I got it for 55 shipped with the TB and you could probably grab one up for say 20 bucks or so at a yard, or off ebay for say 50.

And yea the car does not look like that, but nothing drastic, just different things here and there. Although I am not worried about that part of the car yet, I just want to make it fast and then make it look nice.
But thanks guys for all the complements.

dont know, never dynoed it. But the only dyno numbers there are to go on is somone on jbody.org who put on the LO manifold and gained something like 11hp but lost 2-4 tq so the HO manifold is larger, but its all a guess. I would say about 5hp-10hp. You can feel it pull in the high RPMs for sure with this mod.

was it a bolt up or some other work involved? Car looks nice, from what I can see:D Keep the work up

its a more involved mod. You have to do some drilling and then you have to buy a flange to line up the ports and so on. But its not that hard. Then you have to re route some wires and so on. and since you have a 96-98 GA your going to have to buy an EGR simulator that will require some wire splicing.
But basicly you need the HO manifold. a TB for a 2.3L ( you can use the 2.4 TB but then thats more modifications you have to do) You use the TPS and IAC off the 2.3 TB. Then you need some type of gasket marterial. a breather filter (you might alread have one with you AEM intake) get a 93-94 TB so you can use the 95 throttle cable bracket. and a block off plate to cover up the EGR port
So the EGR sim is 69 shipped
EGR block off plate and gasket 10-12 total at GM dealership
Manifold and TB 50 bucks from a yard or less
breather filter 10 from parts store
95 Throttle cable bracket not sure on price but i have one for 14 bucks + shipping
Gasket material (i used this liquid stuff, gold RTV gasket maker) 4 at parts store
flange (hard to find) 70 bucks
and make sure you get the IAC and TPS when you get the TB, i had to buy a new IAC for 45 (which sucked)
But thats about all you need, i dont have the EGR sim yet and im throughing a code, but my car drives fine.

yea, go to www.quad4forums.com then to the FAQ youll find more info on the swap, but take those "instructions" with a grain of salt as i personaly think they are crap, and should only be used as a form of help not COMPLETE install instructions.
