Went to the track the other night. I had a lot of fun; it was my first time there.
First run:
R/T 1.002
60' 2.382
330 6.990
1/8 10.718
MPH 66.33
1000 13.885
1/4 16.545
MPH 83.67
Seconds run: shifted into 5th instead of 3rd
R/T .657
60' 2.356
330 6.772
1/8 10.774
MPH 59.48
1000 14.274
1/4 17.274
MPH 69.19
Third run: lit up both sets of yellow lights then the top one went out and I got confused= bad R/T
R/T 1.542
60' 2.399
330 6.883
1/8 10.589
MPH 66.34
1000 13.750
1/4 16.410
MPH 84.59
Fourth and final run: Don’t know why I got a bad R/T must have been sleeping
R/T 1.343
60' 2.403
330 6.848
1/8 10.527
MPH 66.76
1000 13.668
1/4 16.325
MPH 84.61
But I think next time I go back if I shift more aggressively and get a better launch maybe ill pull a low 16 high 15. All I have done to the car is an iceman intake, and an HO manifold swap (which isn’t even port matched right) And the car is a 2.4 5speed
Also i thought i posted this already, but the thread isnt around anymore. what gives?

get that manifold matched up in a hurry.. .you don't gain jack if it's not matched properly... and actually potentially lose out...
get it fixed asap and come back to the track.. watch times improve.

Yeah you gotta get it port matched. Im sure times will improve greatly once that is complete.

You have to subscribe to the racing section. But I'll keep your thread here instead of moving it.
Good 1/4 times!

1/8 10.368

..
Nice...looks like there still room to get that 60' down. 15.9's easily
My GA ran:
60':2.326 1/4:16.194@84.75 (almost matches yours to a t!!:D)
to a..
60':2.266 1/4:15.972@85.53
in the same day. Mine was auto though. I think you should easily be able to pull a 2.2 60' with a 5-speed...it just takes alot of practice...especially since the track is much different than the street.

yea i was hoping my last run would bust out that 15.9, but i let the clutch out way to hard and spun and then couldnt get it into second gear for a moment and ended up running a 17.3

It was a 1998 GAGT 4-door.

Good luck with that.. u still have a ways to go! I'm goin to the track on Saturday (at sea level, cool), n I haven't been back since I put my header on.. so I don't think my goal is too far away. :)
14's N/A?
Buy a cavi...it'll probably be cheaper :P

Whats the elevation where you ran the 16.3?

I've run it twice actually, at 2 different locations..
1st time was at Englishtown in NJ.. right on the coast, pretty much sea level. Hot outside..
Lebanon Valley in Albany, NY.. the altitude is significantly higher since it's in the mountains (altho I'm not sure what exactly), n it was hot temperature-wise.
^ I bet if the altitude was corrected I'd have a better time.
