I have a 2001 Trans Am, i can port the throttle body to open all the way (90degrees)...my question is, is it possible to do this on a 1999 grand am gt?, the benefit from this is not needing to buy a bigger throttle body because u r in some sense making it bigger...

... not sure what you are asking but YES, you can port the stock throttle body to approximately 61/62mm ... or, you can buy one already done.

just about any TB can be ported, i guess. just make sure your intake manifold is ported to match. or ya could do like i did and buy the RSM 62mm and matched many. your call tho man, the RSM one wasnt that cheap, but i dont think it was a bad price tho.

Interesting ... I never noticed whether or not the 'stop' is limiting the degree of opening ... don't see why it wouldn't work (at first glance) if it was being limited ... kind of useless if it isn't limited though ... thanks for the explanation :)

looking back at the pic of mine. it looks like there is an adjusting screw. which it makes sence to have one there. and if there is one, that should help with that.
