clicking sound

I have a 2000 and the flasher switch has been replaced. The problem is there is a clicking sound from the flasher switch even after the turn signal lever has returned to normal and no lights are flashing. Can you be of help? First guess, the new flasher is bad also. it should stop as you know.

If the new flasher ( if it is the right one for your car.) is not bad, then the only other thing could be a short in the system.

But, I'm still betting either they sold you the wrong flasher for your car, or it's bad also.

When the parts person looked it up, his eyes might have slide down one line before he asy the part number, giving the wrong part for the car.
