my engine is SCREWED

Weel i got a new battery to see what my engine does when i try to start it, well when i tured the key i heard a loud click and the engine was not tring to turn over. not only that but when i took off the battery i swore i saw it smoke where the terminals are and the side post terms were very hot! what you think a new engine goes for nowadays? (rebuilt)

dont need an engine... its your starter... and ya if you held the key in the start position.. well ya ... charge the battey then give the side of the starter a tap... with a rubber mallette or a light tap with anything .... not to dent it but hard enough to shake anything around inside.. then try and see if it starts... if so ya you need a starter.. but i will bet thats your prob and i bet your engine is fine... unless its siezed...

i think it is seized cause i held the key in start and i heard one click and nothing else, my friend who i bought this from hit a bad bump in downtown detroit and put a hole in the oil pan. he stoped the car, but afterwards when he tried to let it cool he could not get it to start.

ohhhh sorry to say ya sound like it... very possible it hit the crank and well screwed up ya... sorry dude.. new engine time
