Where did you order the NiteShades from? Also, what legalities are involved, is it pretty easy to get screwed by a cop for not allowing your taillights to shine through enough with this stuff ?

Thanks for the input! Took me a couple days to do, but well worth it....ordered NiteShades from Summit Racing, costs about $15 per can, you can use 1 can if you do it right the first time....I messed one side up and had to order another can and totally redo it...as far as legal issues, here in South Carolina the cops don't seem to care...I've heard that around here, as long as each taillight illuminates clearly and are red in color, it's ok....I haven't been stopped yet in about 4 months, and I've had cops right behind me before. The reason I left a small band on each side barely tinted was because the LED bulbs were severely dimmed by full blackout, and it also looks cool (I decided that after I did them). The turn signals are fully blacked out, but illuminate nicely to my amazement. Left the reverse lights alone b/c it would take away from the hyper-white bulbs...
The third brake light illuminates extremely bright, esp. at night.

Thanks, I appreciate the input. I may just keep it a lighter shade for now until I find out for sure.

Keep in mind, all of my tail bulbs are LED, and using regular bulbs makes a big diff...all of the light will shine through just fine with reg. bulbs. Someone on here blacked theirs out all the way (I think it was a white GA) and showed how they looked illuminated with regular bulbs....seemed to me they lit up as though they hadn't been tinted...also, 3rd brake light should illuminate fine blacked out, regardless of LED or reg. bulbs.
