Well i live in Victoria BC Canada and we dont have air care here... so im ok.. but i just found out my horrible mileage is from a partially clogged cat. Reason is on Fri.. i stopped at my parents house.. and my dad pointed out that the cat was really hot to the touch and the resenator behind it was ice cold after running it at norm operating temp. So i dont know if he tapped the thing of not but no a bunch junk is rattling around inside when im driving and very annoying..

So i was wondering my dad just pull the cat. and just put in a piece of pipe... but i dont really want my car loud at all i just want it to run right... so have anyone of you done this? is very loud at all...

Also being im very strapped for cash for the next month 1/2 or so and well i was thinking i would prefer to have a cat on there but i could also get one from an auto wrecker even if it only lasts like 1 year thats fine with me...

As for buying a new one i cant now... so im just looking at recomendations

Also i have a 94' grand am 3100 SE auto with 222 000km's and btw its an original cat on it.. and im getting about 15 mpg atm and about 17 on the highway :)

you car shouldnt sound too loud just by removing the cat,the moffler is the one that takes care of the sound, you dont use just a pipe and no muffler, if you want the car rigth you need to spend money ,if you dont have it now, well, life is like that, you wait untill such a time ,,driving cost as you beging to find out, if i had a penny for every whish i had i would be rich ! so oooooo ? get the drifft ?
