the driver side window has stopped working. I think it is the sensor that stops it when it hits bottom. Last time this happened, my passenger put down their window when i was messing with mine, and mine went down. It usually happens when it is damp or raining out. This time, i havnt been able to fix it. I tried looking in the haynes manual. No help. Any ideas?

does the motor run when you hit the button for the window? or is there a grinding noise at all? These 2 things happened to my window and it turned out to be the window regulator.. and it was an easy fix...

no, it doesnt sound like the motor is running. all i can here is the click of the switch. no motor noises or clunking or grinding or anything. the other windows work fine.

Try removing the panel that holds the switches, then disconnect the connector from the back of the switch.
Disconnect the battery neg terminal.
Clean the pins and sockets of the switch and connector, using dental picks and Q-tips with alcohol.
Dry, and reconnect.

Moisture drips down on the switches and corrodes the connection, causing increased resistance.

Good luck.

Definitely try cleaning the switches in the driver's door.

Doesn't take too long, you don't have to remove the entire door panel:
Just remove the two phillipshead screws in the bottom of the handgrip, then finagle the hard plastic piece away from the latch/lock mechanism.
Turn it over, and the switches are right there.

That's the first thing a shop will do, anyhow.

Good luck.
