Dealer or anyone else will charge you 3-4 hours of labour plus parts. You can get a brand new water pump for under $100 at the max. If you do it yourself...It will basically will be the cost of the water pump. If someone else does it, I'de be looking in the range of $300-$500. This is Canadian $. I assumed you were since your location says Scotia.

I've seen post from $600. to 1,200.
Depends on who you call and trust.
unless you are pretty good with motors I would not suggest you try to change the water pump in a 2.4.
The pump lives behind the timming belt, so it will need removed.
With a double over head motor....getting the belt and everything lined back up right can be hard.
Call around, don't go to the cheepest just because they are. Some times there cheep cause they don't know what there up to.
Good luck.
