How many people have performance mods and live in the north and drive thier cars through winter?

If so any issues? Accidents? Lets hear the stories if there are any.

Unless you have a winter beater to drive i wouldn't lower my car or put on wide tires / rims or body kits etc. The salt they put on the roads here eats cars and unless you like plowing snow with your front air dam and spinning your wheels , i'd just park it . ;)

I have not had any trouble with my GA in the winter. It handles great in the snow. I pass up 4x4 on the highway. All I did for the winter is added at front cover to protect it from the salt, sand and rocks.

I have a CAI and a cat-back and ive had no issues. For rims, I keep my stock SE's for the winter and plan on upgrading to actual rims next summer. That way, you have crap rims and winter tires for the winter and good rims and performance tires for the summer. As for body kits, you dont drive them in the winter and you get a winter beater. The cool thing is a keep my underbodies on my car, but i usually cover them up with something to help protect agains the snow and crap.

I wouldn't be very concerned about engine mods... just keep suspension mods in mind. Even lowered 2" my 95 did great in the winter. Tires + sensible driving make the biggest difference. I powerwash the underbody of the car frequently to remove salt spray.

if you know how to drive in snow, then snow tires is all you need to worry about. i only had mine on ice since i had it, and my 17's were worthless on it. but i have been on snow many a time. ride height is onlyimportant if you want to plow through snow. but acidents do happen tho. jus make sure your insurence can cover a body kit.
