Mod: Increased Steering Wheel Tilt

It has bothered me that the GA steering wheel does not raise as far as my Achieva does. It hardly raises a notch over the regular driving position. I had a look under the plastic collar and found a easy remedy.

There is a white nylon bumper at the U joint as seen in this shot.

Pry it out and cut about a quarter inch off the top.

Carefully reinstall the bumper and replace the plastic collar. Take the rest of the day off.

I did that on my 96 se, accidentally :lol:

whent he car was having starting problems a few months ago i jammed up pretty hard ont eh wheel and that plastic or nylon bumper broke :lol: same result though :D
