Your best bet is to have a local performance shop do it. Have them port & polish with a 5 angle valve job. Also have them do new stiffer valve springs. If you wanted to buy from a company I would go Dr. Speed. If you really are thinking about doing heads, get the mani's, larger tb and headers. You should get a dyno tune if you plan on this too. What good is having heads flowing more air then the rest of the motor can.

the RSM heads are supposed to be good, but I hear the doctor does them well too, probably another personal preference thing

5 angle is overkill on the 3400 IMO. Much better off with a 3 angle. If you can't find a reliable local shop that has done work on previous 3400s (which is hard to find) then Dr. Speed is the way to go :agree:

A three angle valve job coupled with stiffer springs ( like LS1 springs ) will do the trick.

Ok if Doctor Speed is the way to go what do you think of there stage 2 heads .That is the set I am looking to put on this winter and having the computer reprogramed to remove the 106 top speed.

... I'd simply have a local machine shop do the engine modifications ... no need to really to buy anything, just have your originals modified :)

Not the best; however, the engine was missing slightly (immediately prior to this run I installed my CAI and the car was adjusting to it), I missed shifting into third (hit the rev limiter twice) and I weigh 380 lbs :( ... I know, I know .. excuses, but, it all adds up to the fact the car should go quicker ... I am quite happy though for not having a 'whole bunch' done :)
