just these 2 plugs. Screw denso and ngk and the other jap stuff. Screw Bosch and their german complicated stuff. Does the rapidfire do any good over plain-jane AC?

in my opinon on a stock or fairly stock engine. that isnt turbo or supercharged... i dont see the point.. since our Distributorless ignitions have a pretty strong spark and by doing so makes the even the cheapest plugs fire enough spark to ignite all the fuel making it pointless.... in my call just go standard... waste of money at leas on our cars

aha. Thanks much. I don't like buying foregin NGK jap plugs, although they're good. I'd rather buy American designed and made AC, Champion, etc.

I use rapidfire because they were a dollar cheaper then the OEM plugs. I believe i paid $4.19 per plug. The OEM ones model number 41-963 were 5.99 each. My car runs fine with rapidfire 14s.
But remember this.
If the car came with platinum plugs put platinum back in there.
If it came with cropper plugs put copper back in there.

They are but if you have copper in it from the factory and it runs fine there is no reason to put platinum in there. The engine was design to run on copper plugs. Like wise with the cars that came from the factory with platinum plugs

Stick with what GM put in it. They have by far the strongest ignition systems, any fancy plug is wholly worthless, in my opinion of course. :)

I replaced my stock ones,I think they were AC ones that were 6.99 for 4 of them, too much for plugs.Plus when I took them out(because at idle it sounded like it was missing or something) they seemed pretty good,my dad said they looked fine but I bought some BOSCH platnuim2's and the problem went away and the car has been running better it seems.I could careless what country makes the product,as long as it works and lasts,so far, they've been fine.

I like my American stuff... my buddy has a '68 Pontiac Ventura. hahaha, nothing more American than a 4000 pound car with a 400 c.i. v8 and a big chrome bumper.
