several ?'s

ok i have a couple ?'s since i have been looking around the site. Why is a 5 speed so much better than an auto? Is there a stroker kit for the 2.4 and if so where can i find it? what is the best thing for top end swap if it is possible? What is the best performance site for my grand am?

Im sure mantapart has more stuff for ya.. but as for beretta's in the GTZ's the common thing was swaping out thier DOHC Quad 4's and swapping in a Olds 215 hp... forget the name.. of the engine but it was avail. in 1990-91 i think.. but those engines are in high demand .. but im sure a 94 + quad wont work... since the block design is different.

As for the 5spd to the auto.. well generally if you are good with a clutch you can always get better times in a drap.. allowing the engine to rev higher and such... and also more power is lost in the auto... for a few hp lost in the drivetrain... from the flywheel to the wheels... and also generally 5spd will get your a slightly better mileage

As for the stroker kit.. as i said look at mantapart.com.. they have a ton of stuff from tranny gears.. to cams to lifters.. u name it

Are you speaking of the W41? I thought it came stock with 190HP, but i could be wrong.

ya the w41 but im sure its 220.. but ya in the beretta world they are in real high demand.. but i dont know about GA's but in 1990 the quad 4 in the GTZ was rated at 180 hp and 160 ft lbs.. im not too sure about the GA's though

5speed>auto b/c the 5speed drops about .5 seconds of your 1/4 mile times.

You can swap heads with a 2.3L (but like i said join quad4 and you can read all about it)
