doesn't the Cavalier have an Ecotech in it? Id say take a look at your engine bay, then look at a Cavlier one with the same engine (check cardomain) and see if they are similar.....I know on my 2.4,the AEM intake I have is off an 96-99 Cavy, the only difference was the mounting place, had to make a bracket, nothing hard.

I wouldn't think you would need to relocate the battery but may need to adjust it or tilt it,don't think you would have too much trouble fitting it:) Its a nice intake, like i said, have the AEM intake on my 2.4 and it had some noticible gains at the track compaired to the stock intake,it let the car breathe better:D

theres only one thing i can think of. I know there was a problem with some of the ecotec jbodies not being able to use it. Something about ones with cruise and ones without, or maybe it was auto manual. i cant remember

It won't directly fit.. Where it bolts on to stay it doesn't fit so you'll have to do some cutting.. but other than that it goes on and stuff.. I like like it except it will push out you fender well and you tire will rub the fender thing and make a hole in it... I am getting ready to put a WAI back into it...

it's honestly the best intake out there. It WILL fit if you do a few things here and there. It's just AEM never test fitted the eco intake on a grand am.

i remember what it is now, it was a problem with ABS jbodies and non ABS jbodies. Appereantly the intake is made for ABS jbodies only.

But a home made intake isnt tested, dyno tuned, and CARB approved among other things. people seem to forget this.

Well i just got my car a month ago and im not going to start hacking it. Any ideas on intakes? Weapon R looks good especially for the price but ive read alot of people bashing it lately. Also they have the ram air kit, will that woirk on our cars i didnt think so because the filter looks like it butts up to the wall of the eng bay. Anyone know what im talking about and can help me out?

The problem I have with the Weapon-R and Iceman intakes is that they don't conncect to the throttle body, the AEM intake does, the AEM intake completely gets rid of ALL the stock intake parts, the black hose, the block box in front of the 2.4 Twin Cam plate, everything in the enginebay that is part of the stock.....The Weapon-R and Iceman intakes connect to the black plastic box like thing in front of the engine by where it says 2.4 Twin Cam,see my cardomain to see what Im talking about,I think I have a pic of my engine bay.

I say hack at the place where the itnake needs to be adjusted, and get a coupler so you can mate that piece of intake together proper.. I know of a few websites that sell couplers.

go to High rev and they have an intake for the eco grand am. Not sure if you have to cut anything or not though. I have my own custom wai on mine, but I am thinkin about building a custom ram air setup since the eco tb is right in front of the nostrils on the car.

Well they must have made a better one for the 2.2's cuz they sure as hell didn't have a full intake for the 2.4's when I was looking at them.
