my car was recently stolen in aug and was ran into a house and they didn't total it(the bastards). After i got my car back over 5 weeks later i traded it in to a ford dealership for a silver 2004 mustang gt. Goodbye and goodluck with all your grand ams....

man ya should've waited a couple months and gotten an '05....things are gonna be sweet! Although since this is a pontiac board...and pontiacs are gm...I'll be quiet and keep all my Ford fantasies to myself.
If I can find myself a job I'll hopefully be trading in my GA in the next year or two for a new 'Stang GT :glasses:

Could we get a definition of "real car"? Or an example.
Personally I think its all about preference. And whether people want performance, looks, or both. People should go for what they like, not what will impress others. (although that is usually a bi-product of a nice car =P)

It's funny how some people rag on one brand or another. I've owned over 15 cars now & I gotta say they all make lemons here & there & out of all of them the GM's have been the worst but I still like them just the same as Fords & Chryslers, although I have mixed feelings about Chrysler now because they aren't exactly American anymore.

real car? I'd say a Mach1 Mustang is a real car....
As I recall...it was an old man in a blue Mach1 that kicked my ass at LVD during the GAOC Albany meet. And I ran a 15.9 that time around...he ran somewhere in the 13s.

My preference for a car would be the 86 t-bird with the 5.0 or Forumla Firebird with the 5.7. Plus i think Mustangs are overated. They have a nice body, sometimes a good engine, but the interior is horrible, they need some new designs of interior.

Yeah the interior on the current ones is kind of blah. The 05's though look like they should be sweet. Going retro all the way.
Me personally I want my momes 79' Trans Am with the 6.6l
Unfortunately she won't let me near that car and I only got to drive it once to my grandma's lol.
And my dad used to have a 73' Mach 1 with the Cleveland 351. He traded it for a blazer in the 80's to go off roading in.....:(

My buddy has an 04 GT and it's nice , he has the 5 speed and it has plenty of go ! The 05 has a stronger engine , but i like the look of the 04 . I guess you know you can stick around even if you don't own a GA any more ........:)

The new mustangs are out now....we have several of them in town however the ford dealerships said that it may be up to a year before you can actually get one at invoice price they are anywhere from 2,000-4,000$ above invoice. I refused to pay above invoice on a car when everyone else is offering rebates

Ya, no kiddin! If you pay 2 to 4k over the average retail you'll be absolutely hosed if you wanna trade it in later on. Unless that is you spot that much cash up front. But still, you're paying too much either way.
