I know this is not a factory option, So i was wondering if anyone has done it? What did you get the tranny out of? How much would the conversion cost? Thanks!

i dont wanna sound biast.. but from many people i hear they will mainly recomend a 3.1 over a 3.3 for reliability... but also the 3.1 didnt come with a 5 spd.. at least a code "M" engine the earlier generation 3.1 did.. i had my beretta 90' with a 5 spd.. and from berettas they used the earlier generation 3.1 until 94... with 5 spds.. but hard to find.. but as for putting one in your car personally i would say swapping an engine with a 5 spd is a better bet... get a 3.4 but i dont know if they have 5spd... but me personally i think would be alot easier to fit a engine with a manual than make yours a manual...

the 3300 is the little litter brother to the 3800. They are justa as reliable as the old school 3.1 mpi

well like i say i dont wanna sound biast.. but my dad being a mechanic and works in a auto store selling parts.. he says that for the 3.3 and 3100 .. engines he says parts for the 3.1 are alot cheaper and easier to get than the 3.3 but we live in Canada and wether that its harder to get parts for that engine i dont know.. but he told me to stick with the 3.1 or 3100.. and he said this before i even bought the car or even looked at a car to buy with one in it... so im just passing on what i heard not knocking your engine... in which im sure just some people get a lemon and they turn out to be a 3.3...

PS i almost bought a 93 GA waaay back but it was a 3.3 and my dad was completely objecting to it.. but i almost bought it anyways.. but money came to be an issue so i didnt get it...

I love my 3300. My brother has a 3.1 in his corsica and i would take my 3.3MPFI over his 3.1 any day of the week!
