hey guys,

the answer to this question may have already been posted, and if it has sorry....but...

i was wondering if its possible to swap in a throttle body and manifold's from a 3400 or possibly even a 3800 into my 97 grand am gt 3100. would this gain anything or is it more of a waste of time and money???

thanks for any help

well 3800 is a 90 Degree V6 and the 3100/3400 are 60 Degree V6's so that not going to work.

You can swap over the manifolds but they are identiacal so to answer your question its a waste of time and money. your best bet is to get the heads and manifolds Ported out and get an RSM TB.

They are the same after somewhere in the late '90s. You can (with some work) also use the UIM and TB from a 3500. Do a search and check up on that discussion.
