website says they are $389 (cheaper than any other I have seen) and I like the look but it doesn't realy tell me if it is functional, and how big of a pain in the a** would a "pin on" be anyway?

There's a guy local to me who has the whole fxdesigns kit. Check the last page in my cardomain for a pic of his. He got the body shop to mount the hood to the frame of a stock hood so that it works on hinges like normal. Pin-ons you pretty much have to lift off completely which is all fine and dandy if you want to minimise weight (the hoods' fiberglass).
I don't believe it comes with functional ram air but it can be done easily by any bodyshop.

It reminds me of a Trans Am.

What does this quote mean to a person who is confused about lift off completely

It means that the hood has to come completely off the car if you want to get access to the engine. So no hinges in otherwords.

Is it hard to keep on placing and removing the hood scoop from the hood.

you do not remove the scoops from the hood. IT IS A PIN ON HOOD. You remove the whole hood.

the scoops are part of the hood, it is a fiberglass hood with no way to use stock hinges, you have to use "hood pins" to atach it to the car.

Ok thanks for making me understand the whole thing, so in conclusion, they will send me a fiberglass hood with hood scoops on it.
