View Full Version : flipping down the backseats?

ok, i know there is a way to flip them down in my '01 SE, but I must be missing it or something.... call me a newb, but can someone PLEASE tell me how to flip my backseats?

I'm sorry now if it's obvious ;)

in ur trunk, as soon as u open it, look under where ur speakers would be and there is too little nylon straps. pull those and ull hear a pop and that is ur seats bein unlatched, then just push em down

That, of course, is assuming that you actually have a rear seat that flips down. My '02 GASE does not have that feature.

I don't know on yours, but mine doesn't have fold down seats. I have three clips (one on the left, one in the middle, and one on the right) that I had to unhinge with the back seat to fold it down. It was a PITA to get them back in though... It was nice having it like that when I had my system. The next car I buy I will make sure it has fold down rear seats.

I would say you don't have this feature if you do not see any type of pullcord in your trunk area.

This I may have to do, in order to clean up my wiring and get everything set and bolted in on my amp. I see clips back there, though I know I don't have the same model as you. What was the easiest way to unhinge the clips?
