I have been thinking about painting my calipers for sometime now, and have even found the kit i want to use but i can't decide what color i want.

I have been thinking about Red, Black, or maybe Blue. The DIY kit i found is supposed to cover four calipers and costs $37.99(including shipping but i think the shipping is actually free so it doen't matter anyways). You can find the kit at www.brakecaliperpaint.com (http://www.brakecaliperpaint.com). Has anyone used one of these kits? It sounds like the quality is good but ya never know for sure until you try it or hear from someone you know.

Any suggestions?

with a red car i would say red but maybe silver or a chrome would look good too....if you want them to scream at you when you look at the car then i would say blue....peace

Yeah, i'd say red, unless you're goin all out for a wild color combo (a.k.a yellow)

The kit is excellent. I used 1/4 of the paint to do my two front calipers. I wouldn't do more than two at a time because the paint sets up in the cup.

As for color, I chose white for my white car. It looks good but a bear to keep clean. Any time it rains, there is a black streak coming out of the middle and runs down the caliper. If I had to choose again, I'd go with black.

On a red car, keep it between red or black.

Subtle = black
Bold = red

Also keep in mind brighter colors will show brake dust more.
