now im in a bit of an ordeal here. the car is in my rents name, and they've told me i cannot go below the legal limit (35% on the front sides). i argued, and argued.... worthless. won't budge. so it looks like im stuck with 35%. my question is: do i get everything done 35% (back sides and rear)? or do i get like 20% or below on the back sides and rear?

also, if anyone who has 35% tint on their GA (probably not many of you) could post up a pic of their car and what the tint looks like, that'd be great. thanks.

Well if its a 4 door id keep the driver and passenger side windows untinted then do 20% on the rear doors and rear window.Mostly the tint law goes for just (on any car) the driver and passenger side windows be a certain limit but the rest can be as dark as you want. I think if you went with 35% all around for uniform look except the rear window, that can be as dark as you want.

It's a 2 door, so it's only the two small windows. I already know that i'm getting 35% on the driver and passenger side windows, just can't decide whether to keep it uniform or go dark for the back 3. Thanks for the help, more opinions needed please! :)

go darker. it's not going to be noticeable from the outside unless you're really looking. if you're going with 35 on the side windows i'd go with a dark tint on the remainder. like a 10 or 5.....15 at the highest if it were me.

I have a 4 door and I just have 35% in the back. I will take pics if you want.

go dark as you can on every window.

Alrighty, getting it after school today. Probably going 10-15% on the back 3. More opinions are welcome though ;)

@Aznga - If you can get them online before this afternoon, go for it. If not, don't worry about it. Thanks though :)

Be happy you're ALLOWED to have tint. As far as I've always been told, tint is pretty much illegal on most windows in Michigan, though I have mine tinted.

They don't care about the back windows, but the driver and passenger side windows are not supposed to be tinted more than 4 inches. No one does that though.

this is 35% on the front 2 and 20% on the rear 5 (our laws are anythign on the rear but none on the front, but the cops havn't complained yet... i dont think they mind as long as they can see you.

When I see a cop I always roll the window down. But here in Oklahoma half the cops have dark tint, even highway patrol.

Go the darkest possible on each window.

i used to be all paranoid about it......but not anymore. my windows are illegal on 3 vehicles. with the windshield tinted on all 3. meeting me on the road you can't see in my vehicle anyway...........well you can't see in it standing in front of it :P.

I definitely love it. It looks great up in person. Here's a pic, I know it's raining, just was bored and wanted to get one up. I'll take more once the rain lets up, and maybe after I wash it.

Edit: Apologize on the size, didn't realize it was that large on my camera proggy.

will you do me a favor and let me know if the police give you any problems? I have been kinda nervous about doing it...BTW how much did you pay (if you don't mind me asking)? I had thought it would cost around $200 for mine (although I have the 4 door so I have 2 more windows).

That tint looks real good....I think all cars should have tint. ;)

Sure thing. I'm not expecting much trouble. All of my friends have much darker tint, and none have been given any trouble.

I paid $160, but yes, it's gonna be a little more since you have a 4 door. I'd say your estimate is about right, but it depends on where you go. I recommend the guy I went to, but hes out in Clinton Twp. Don't know if you want to go all the way out there ;)
