yah i must have looked threw like 100 posts trying to figure it out before actually posting, since people always get mad when people post before they search...but i was hoping to avoid using a kit from another car, and also do not want to order anything off of ebay.

The tranzgenic website seems to be down...they fit right onto the 3100. Why are afraid of doing a little customizing...That's the best part of having a car. It really isn't that hard to make from a prelude intake... You can also get any CAI kit from your local auto/performance shop.

ive done alot of custom stuff to my car, made a domelight, painted interior, made my own ported sub box, put leds all over the car etc...but for some reason with engine stuff i want it to fit perfect...i dont to strap the battery down with a bungee cord or make holes for a sensor that is very sensitive. i dunno, just the way i am

(also to add...i usually must resort to the internet for parts because i dont know of any shops that are within 30 minutes away from my little town of keswick...other than vampire but im not going to rice central...)

That's cool, I like doing custom stuff, makes it your own, to a point. If you had a look at the link I posted, both intakes made from the prelude intake fit almost perfectly. The batteries were not moved at all and are still secured in their original spots. The only thing done to allow the large pipe to fit is enlarge the hole that the pipe goes through into the fender well. If you ever have to return the car back to stock, the factory airbox will fit right back in with no problems and you won't see the hole. Also, I haven't had any problems with my IAT sensor. They are delicate to a point, but you shouldn't have any problems with damaging it. Just don't throw it around. :P

Ebay isn't THAT bad as long as you read up on the seller, and ask them questions about the product/shipping info, etc. I would still take mine over anything I've seen for the 3100 so far. :) Who cares where you buy it...If it's cheaper there then go for it. It was still intended for a HONDA, no matter where you get it...lol Also, you're not that far from Toronto, order it from a reputable company, and come pick it up.

I suppose you could go with the dr speed and pick up some of the angle in the couplers, but I'm not 100% sure. I don't think it will just be a bolt on and go without any modification to the hole in the fender well though.

If you guys say the Prelude one is good then ill trust you on it, and it appears that it is cheaper than a lot of cai out there too. But do you happen to know of reputable site in which i could order one (92-96 Prelude Two Piece, correct?). Also nice96gt does it give you a problem in the winters, since you live relatively close to me, the winters will be the same. Or must it be taken out during the winter?

Added: Just reliezed andys auto sport, but which one of the 92-96 prelude intakes, are they all the same, or is a certain one needed?

I off hand do not know any sites since I got mine off of ebay. I would just look around for the best price. I haven't had mine in for a winter yet, but I will brobably just take out the pipe running into the fender and make it a WAI. I don't want to take any chances.

Neither of the ones from AAS will work, unless you go to town on hacking them up. here is a link to the one you would be using...
