Has anyone used the aftermarket wheel bearing and hub assembly ??.
I need to replace the 2nd one on my 2000 GA and after paying 391 to the dealer for a GM part I just priced Autozone and they have they same part for 129.
Seeing the way these parts go bad how can I NOT put in the aftermarket part ??
Any imput would be great !

Does the $129 part come with sender and stuff for the ABS?
Did GM replace the bearing, or did you buy it and install it?
If GM installed it, wouldn't the Goodwrench 'lifetime' replacement cover it?
I would look at the manufacturer of the AutoZone $129 part.
If it's not Timken or TRW or other 'major' brand, I wouldn't want to trust my safety to it.
Some cheaply-made hunk of steel forged and machined in Malaysia might be cheaper, but it might shatter catastrophically rather than wear-out like your old one.
Good luck.

Autozone carries Timkin I believe. If so this are great bearings and I would highly recomend them over the factory parts.

Aftermarket are good for the money, but I've installed them and sometimes they set an ABS code. Not all the time but sometimes.

I pulled my front left and put in a timken from autozone about 2 months ago and it runs like silk. it took about 2 hours, but it was my first. got them on sale for 109 so i got one for the other side or a backup. decided to keep the hub puller for 45$ instead of returning it to autozone.

Yeah the wheel bearing is a lot of fricking money. Its easy to install comes with the ABS sensor in it and every thing thats why its so much. I think mine was like $200 or something like that thats the cheepest i found when i was back home.
