I just came across an article that the G6 is the replacement for the Grand Am.. I didn't know this! I thought it was just a new car coming out for Pontiac. Also Pontiac's Pursuit is the soon to be replacement for the Sunfire (Canada gets it first, then Americans) Which is just a rebadged Cobalt..

Yes I know it's probably old news, but how long has it been around? Also does anyone know when or if they're going to stop making Grand Am's altogether? :???:

As of now they have stopped all production of the Se's and 4 door GT's for the 05 model GA and the 2 door GT will eventually fade out like the rest sometime in 05 I think.

OMG I thought G6 was just another line too. NO more Grand am's? Are they insane? One of the best looking sharpest cars on the road and they want to get rid if it.

My mom's driving a G6 now for work. She's had it for 3 days, and I accidentally locked the keys in it on the first day she had it lol. It rides nice, but there's a lot of things I don't like about it. Everything's getting too plastic on the interior and exterior now. She's only got the lowest model now until the GT comes in next week. Maybe i'll like that one more!

GM has to get some "young guns" in their design dept. the stiffs they have now are going to kill 'em. we'll probably go through another phase where almost everything is *blah* looking (early 80's?), people will rebel (hopefully!), and the cool cars will come back again.

I've seen the new GA's here and there mostly older people driving them...and from what ive seen their ugly as sin espically the rear end, what the hell happen to the design to the rear? It doesnt even look like a GA, im i the only 1 that doesnt like the newer designs on cars?

well the G6 isn't a Grand Am, it's just replacing it, so it's not going to look like one.. I like them, but I wouldn't own one. The back looks like a neon, and it's too plain. I like the sunroof, but that's about it..
