Drivers window...DEAD

Maybe this has been brought up before, but frankly, I dont wanna look through ALL the forums..... The drivers side window wont do ANYTHING! I can hear clicking from the switch, but it wont work. All the other windows work fine. My Husband popped the switch plate off to look at it and even he couldnt figure it out. He mentioned there is a large yellow box in there and a few Bare wires laying around in there. Whats up with all that??

when you say you hear a click.. is that in the door? if so your switch is working... now there is a chance your motor is shot.. but then there is a chance the window regulator is shot... if I had to guess the regulator.. but taking the door panel off and trying it would allow you to narrow it down..

cheap way i do on my car to get my window working again. My pass windows does that. I punch the inside on the door because I'm mad then rock the switch back and forth real quick, and after 15sec of rocking the window works

Well, found out its the motor. took it to the Pontiac Dealership only to find out the warranty was up last month! DOH! They wanted almost $300 to fix it. We said No Thanks and brought it home......For some reason its working again, but we arent gonna use it Just in case it quits while the window is Down. Im gonna look at it and see if I can do it myself. Anyone ever done this on a 2000 GASE1?

It's a very common problem. As long my regulator is not broke i'm not fixing mine. The punch and the rocking works for me

well, it died again. I tried banging the door and rocking the switch....Nothing! Im gonna have to fix it soon, the wife is upset she cant go to the drive-thru for lunch and she cant smoke. I told her she needed to quit smoking and start taking her lunch. Yea, that went well! So this is why Im gonna be fixing it soon....hahaha

Hey, as long as they work Im interested! I need a drivers side front window motor. Its for a 4 door if that makes a difference.

They both work a1 as i had to buy new regulators and they come with new motors. 1x dvr side front 1x pass front. Hows $20 plus shipping sound. If thats fair to you give me your address and i'll get a shipping qoute for you.

Ok, yea this is an older thread, but about 4 days ago the Pass. window now doesnt work!! You cant roll it down from the pass. switch or the Drivers switch! Im really getting annoyed at this! I know I could try and find some replacement motors or whatever, but whos to say they wont quit working after a while? Is there ANY other solution?? Do you this the Grand Prix motors would work? The reason I ask is cause my mom has a '95 Grand Prix and her windows work Perfect and actually roll up and down Faster than the Grand Ams do. Anyways, let me know if anyone has any ideas!

....bump
