im wondering what can be done to my ga to make it more "road tactical" when next spring hits. i have a 94 ga se, manual trans. i dont know much about the car but im wondering if there are places to look for perf. mods as well as body kits and what not. i know the engine says quad ohc... dont know what the means or the hp on it. any help would be grealy appreciated. thanks.

115 HP, forget the torque numbers.

I wouldn't sink much money into that engine, but a cat-back exhaust setup and homemade intake would certainly help.

HP performance:
-do a SOHC to DOHC conversion (search the posts)
-custom cold / warm air intake as mentioned
-get rid of the whole exhaust system; replace w/ 2"-2.25" pipe, cat off a V6, & fart can
-port & polish head-intake-exhaust
-go turbo if your crafty ;)

handling performance:
-KYB shocks-struts (best/resonable for our cars)
-lowering springs
-strut tower brace
-poly bushings (roll bar, control arm, etc.)
-rear sway bar (same year Achieva)
-bigger wheels (17"-18")

body performance:
-Google "92-95 Grand Am body kits" (all words, not exact phrase)
-if your handy, Google "96-98 Grand Am body kits"
- do a search for "vinyl graphics"
