I'm looking at getting the Stage 1 Intake for the 2.4L from DoctorSpeed (link here (http://www.alerospeed.com/intake/)) I'm wondering how hard it would be to get a hold of the extra piping if I wanted to continue replacing the rest of the stock factory tubing (Stage 2). Or should I simply save $80 more dollars for the Stage 2?

Is the Stage 2 worth the extra $80? I'm looking for relatively cheap performance mods to have my parents buy me for x-mas ;)

No, it's not worth it!

So just stick with the Stage 1 then, and not bother replacing the rest of the stock tubing in the future ?

Oh I'm sorry I read it wrong... I thought you already had stage 1 and wanted to upgrade...

I honestly don't think you are going to be able to tell the difference between stage 1 and 2...

So I would just get the cheaper of the two :D

Just go get an elbow, a coupler and a short length of pipe. Or you could just buy an intake like that off ebay for $40. Thats what I did for my girlfriend's 2.4 sunfire and it works great. $80 for an elbow and a piece of pipe? Is that what youre saying?

You'll want to eliminate that resonator box from the 2.4 - it's by far the most restrictive part on the stock intake. Whichever route you go to do so is up to you, but you'll want to run the pipe directly to the throttle body.

Now i'm debating whether to just build my own Ram Air instead. Seems to be cheaper, can anyone give me an idea of the pros and cons of Ram Air compared to DS's Stage 1 Intake ?
