Ok it was a damp day outside, and I had a lil bit of water in sides of my trunk where the ground was.

I switched my speaker wire from my amp to my sub with a twisted 12g wire. And after this, I noticed my 4g wire came out of the amp a lil bit and was no connected well. So I trimmed it up and reconnected it.

Well for some odd reason my amp doesnt let two channels work at a time. I checked my positives and negatives and they are fine. I also put my amp in bridge mode, and it worked like that, and it didnt shut off when I pounded the bass.

So I really am stumped on why this amp keeps using its internal control to shut off. If it is gettin over loaded, it automatically shuts off. So I'm clueless for what I did, or upon how to fix this.

Any help would be thankful and if you need for info, just post away! Thx

Do you have one or 2 subs? If you have 2 subs, and everything is ok when you just have one connected at a time, then I think it's a +/- issue. Does any sound come through when you are using 2 channnels? If the + and - are switched around when both are hooked up, it will seem like they aren't working properly. Double check them. I have had this happen to me before.

Ok, so I think this amp got shorted.

My friend wired up my subs to the amp and cut the wire really short and they were touching. So that is the reason that the amp would shut off if that channel came on.

Now I fixed the wire, but the amp decreases its volume dramitically when the other sub is added. When I have one sub on it is retains its regular value, when I add the other sub, both subs drop in volume. Like they are being cut in half. This leads me to think that something inside the amp got shorted.

Now I'm sad and I know my friend wont help me fix or buy another amp.

what kind of amp? brand/model ? It may not be 2ohm mono stabled (bridged) or something indeed was damaged internally.

the amp is http://www.thezeb.com/p-MA-Audio-M683I-2-Channel-Amplifier-102552.htm

The two subs are 4 ohm subs. The amp only bridges at 4ohm, not 2. The subs are single coil.

So I think something fried internally in the amp.
