Which would be more beneficial? Pros and cons of each would be awesome, trying to learn a little more then the nothing I know about it, so any help would be greatly appreciate :)
This is for an '01 2.4L SE . I've priced out both, and with the necessary pieces, Ram Air seems to be cheaper. But i'm willing to dish out the little more cash for DS's Stage 1 intake if it will provide better results. I'm not expecting huge gains here, very minimal I know, but just need to know the difference between the two. Thanks in advance ;)

first of all I'm not sure how your going to do Ram Air on the twincam but, regardless the Dr. Speed will net you more HP

I wouldn't waste time/money on "ram air"

Appearance, the RAM-AIR 'looks better' IMO ... Performance, 'any' CAI will work much better!!

Any reason why you decided to not get the stage 2 (other than financial)? Just wondering...since I am not too sure myself rather the stage 2 will perform any better than the stage 1...;)

I heard several people state that it wouldn't be worth the extra $80 dollars. So yeah, I guess part of it is financial. If you've got an extra $80 to throw out, go for it, it won't hurt ;)
I'm just going to somehow get some new pipe when I decide to upgrade, as that's all stage 2 is: a little more piping that goes straight to the TB. It will be a lot cheaper that way.

Just FYI , the Doctor Speed intakes for the 2.4 are both WAI 's not CAI 's . ;)

Stage 2 is definately the way to go.

Even though it's $80 more just for that small addition of piping ?

I think it is. Replacing that restrictive box before the TB is well worth it when you figure in the power you will pick-up.
