i m happy to say ive been running 10 psi for thirty thousand miles on my rebuilt engine, with no problems. now im going to step up to 15 as soon as i get the TurboXs fuel cut defender and a intercooler. im going to see what this engine can handle. did anyone ever find out what size injectors we have? i thought they are 19 lb but im not sure. i need to buy new ones but dont want to buy stock, im thinking i can get away with 21 lb if stock is 19.

Have you concidered adding a Vortech Fuel Management Unit? (http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/products/fuel/fuel_fmu.html) May be able to give you the extra fuel needed for a 5psi boost increase without the problem of running rich with larger injectors.
My engine is coming along slowly. I decided to replace some parts in my new shortblock. So far I've got Speedpro pistons and Clevite-77 mains. Will be adding Clevite-77 rod bearings and Hastings chrome-moly rings soon. Then I can start putting everything else together...slowly but surely.

that sounds good but looks like a fuel presure regulator. ive already got a ajustable one.

It is a regulator, only it automatically increases fuel pressure based on boost pressure. Say you buy a 4:1 unit, for every 1psi of boost, it increases fuel pressure 4psi. So at 15psi boost, you'd increase fuel pressure 60psi.
With a standard adjustable FPR, you're stuck with whatever you set it at, no matter what boost you run. With larger injectors, you get the increased fuel flow all the time so you end up running rich at idle and low rpm operation.
Just food for thought, would be interested in hearing how the car runs with larger injectors.

ya when i start in on the fuel side ill be going riseing fuel pressure regulator from what ive seen and heard its safest way to raise boost and not lean out.
wen you get new injectors post wich ones you got .
