I am new to this forum but am not new to mechanical endeavors. I did however pull a real bonehead move when tearing down a 2.3 SOHC in a 1994 GA. I did not mark the crank and the cam for re-assembly. Can anyone help me with the down and dirty installation of the cam, timming chain etc.

well pretty much like you took them out . the crank goes in like any other. the keyway goes 12 noon position and the cam must have the gear on it and the hole in the gear lined up with the hole in the houseing. the cam should not have any tension on it from the valves. if it does rotate it one time till it doesnt. then put a bolt through the gear into the housing. then you can install the chain. after installing remember to remove the bolt.
