I know where all the screws that hold it in but whats the best way of taking it off? I've only had it off once and it felt like I was lucky to get it off.....Ever since I've been un able to without hitting the turn signal or the windshield wiper. Im wanting to paint it and do some fiberglass work with it but affraid of messing it up trying to put it back on.Is there a certain way that works best?

probably like the 99+ if you pop off the top of the steering column, there should be a bolt that holds on the levers, just take it out and take off the levers bam, you should be able slide the piece right out

Hey bro. here is the easiest way to take it off. Take out the 4 screws. Pull the top (above guage cluster) out so it clears the dash. Put on the hand brake and shift your car into 1st gear (auto). pull the body section (hvac/radio/cubby hole) straight out then move the whole piece to the right and it should come out. Keep in mind there are three plugs on the left hand side you need to undo before you pull the piece out. Dimmer switch, fog lights, and power for the lighter. Hope this helps you out.

thanx guys....Yea messing up the paint when I do paint it was my main concern, putting it back on.I'll try the two ways. Deffly will let ya know when I start it.I'll prolly end up going to the junk yard and finding another trim so I work on that incase I mess up then I won't be out a piece. After working with fiberglass on the body kit, should be a breeze doing this project:D
