Well, I first put blue overlay badges on my grand am symbols, but after having them on for about 8 months I decided that it looked kiddish, so I went for the more clean look on my 02 SE and debagged the whole thing. It definetely looks 10x better without all of the badges than it did before. It is definitely recommended for anyone interested in doing this.

You mean debadged? ;)
Definitely, I agree. I originally made a project out of it, and painted my badges black. But I decided to remove them, and it definitely looks much better :)

I'm stuck with just getting overlays for mine... since the car is in my parents name cause I'm lettinonly 16 they kinda control what I do to it. I still don't see why they are g me do a CAI, new exhaust and alot of appeareance stuff, not to mention all the other performance and such I will be doing down the road when I have money, but they won't let me debage.
It looks so much cleaner and smoother without em. Its the little things that make such a big difference.

^Yea, unless your parents study the outside of your car all the time, I doubt they'd notice....

heh, yeah I've been thinking about doing that. My front fender is dented and I have to get a new one so the new one won't have the "Ram Air v-6" on it. I think I'll probably knock em all off when I put that on.

Yea, take 'em off. If worst comes to worst then you can tell them you will put them back on, and then 'lose' them, haha.

Im thinking bout it, just not sure if its gonna be kinda faded around where the badges were. 5 years of sun and road salt on the black car might have faded it to where you can see where it was

My girlfriend has a 97 Malibu and we took off her badges and ugly green pinstripe, apply some Goo_Gone and you can barely tell they were there, and after a couple of washes, the minor "fade" disappeared, You should do it, it makes the car look cleaner and classier. **By the way I live in PA, so we get nasty winters here sometimes.
** Remember to wax after completing though, as there is not clear coat on the paint below to protect it from the harsh elements.
