Electrical tutorial - switches (http://www.1728.com/project2.htm)
Here's a site that explains the basics of switches.
It looks like you have a single pole, single throw illuminated rocker switch.
You can get both the power and the ground from the cigarette lighter. The power from the lighter goes to the center post of the switch. Ground goes to the different colored post to allow the illumination circuit to complete. You can also attach the black wires from your LED's there. The red wires from your LED's goes to the bottom post.

Cut the power wire to the lighter, add another wire for the LED's and wire nut or solder the three wires back together. This powers the new lights and leaves the lighter working.
When I did mine, I got some quick disconnect terminals so I could unplug the power wires when I wanted to remove the radio trim. You're going to need three female terminals for the switch anyway. Just get another two males and two females. When you install them on the lighter wiring, put a male on the negitive and a female on the positive. That way, when you hook them up, you can't do it backwards.

^ Knows what he is talking about.
I did it the same way, but didn't think about using female connectors on the switches. I just ghetto-rigged them.
