Hey everyone, i dont post very much but i read the forums as much as time permits. i just bought my 4th grand am!! and im only 22, had a 92 SE traded it in for a black 99 GT, traded that in for a 04 fusion orange GT which turned out to be a big target for people to keep hitting me so i got rid of it and just picked up another 99 GT! well anyways i was wondering if anyone has either done or thought about putting a screen into your steering wheel?? ive been researching some on it and i was wondering some opinions and ideas from you people! well id like to hear your opinions so please reply. thanks!

I like that Fusion Orange color a lot, but I can see Pontiac and Chevy abusing it to being oversold.

I have a 00 GT in silver myself, and I adore it. I wouldn't put a screen into the steering wheel though. It would look cool, but I think rather than saying to people "I'm the Grand Am everyone seems to hit", you'd be saying, "I'm the Grand Am that seemsto hit everyone".

That would be an unfortunate event.

I've seen people put some on their dashes or mirriors...talk to Dowmace, he's a good friend of mine, and he's done some nice work on his car.

congrats on ur new ride but tv on the steering wheel is just asking for trouble,it's gonna cause accidents and u need that airbag exp,since there's been so many accidents,I say no but it's ur choice,I think it's a very bad idea.

I wouldn't do it. Personally, I don't think it looks that great plus is your saftey really worth it?

The wheel in my truck is faded pretty bad from the previous owner. I want a billet wheel but can't find my self removing a safety device that could save my life some day just for my wheel to look cool.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I thought I heard tv's like that were illegal some places because having a tv infront of the driver means that the driver will be watching it (because there's no other reason to have a tv there), and not keeping their eyes on the road. I guess if it is just for show though...i don't know. Jury's still out on that one. I'd go for a tv located where others could also watch it.

thanks for all your replies, i knew id get that sorta response, but figured id atleast see what everyone thought and maybe get a few responses in my favor. anyways i also thought about moving my cd player somewhere else and puttin a screen in there, but im not a big fan of the motorized flip out screens. but id also get a visor screen and a couple headrest screens. i have a panasonic 5310 head unit right now but wednesday im buyin a panasonic 8300u. i also have 7 color changing led underbody lights on already and, i have a 3200 watt visonik amp with 2 visonik 12's that have pushed 145 db in my friends van. only had the car 2 weeks so not much done to it yet, just what i had left over from my '04 grand am.
