has anyone tried to cut the lens of the headlights off and then put a clear cover on the outside as if it were the original, minus the fugly orange reflector? reply back if anyones tried it.

I have clear headlights already(I have a 97) but thats the trick to clearing the 99+ headlights,and so far,Magyver is the only one that has done it but he went a step farther and used some fog lights to make projector headlights for his 99+ GA. If I had a 99+ ,id be buying some clear covers right now and using them as the lenes,go for it!

I was going to do it but I was worried about the heat melting the plastic. The aftermarket headlight covers aren't the same sort of material as the stock cover... I don't think it could take the heat. But I could be wrong.

they will be ok, my projectors are ok.... upgrade to projectors... yes, i have done this, it isnt easy... but looks awsome.. check cardomain for picts... (also painted housing black to match the car)

all i have to say mcgyver...wow.
im working on making mine as pimped as yours, but yellow. and it looks like i have a looong way to go yet.
1st question though...the tail light led's...how did you do it?(if i can ask?)

You can order some through AutoZone,Advanced Auto, or any auto parts store. They are either going to be GTS, AVS, or VentShade.
