Hey everyone

I have a few questions about 2.4l replacement options. I have about 100,000 Miles on my car, and would like to start researching rebuilding or replaceing my engine. There is nothing major wrong with it, but i would like to get a block, and start the process of building a new one. Also want to do the same to the trans. Im looking for any info on places to get a long or short block, and maybe trans. I have done a few searches here, and on the rest of the web with no real solid luck. Has anyone on this forum done a rebuild or replacement? What problems did you run into, and any suggestions? Did you do any internal changes as far as proformance? Any good performance sites for the 2.4 we have? as far as internal parts ?

in procese of rebuilding mine. going with performance parts tho. jbodyperformence.com is a great place. ordered their race head which includes pistion(of size of chose) cams, and head port/polished. claimed 33whp fro race head kit alone. plus i ordered rods w/ bearings, main bearings and cam bearins for about 3600USD. check them out. your block and crank should be good, but get them checked out anyway. and get all seals and gaskets redone, and while it our, new water pump and timing chain and gears(they hard to get to)
