Alright, I know completely nothin' about the 85-91 Grand Ams, and I was just wondering if there were any possible engine swaps, and if so which engines? On another note, if not, does anyone know any aftermarket websites I could order things for the 2.5L, such as Air Intake & Induction, Suspension, Exhaust, etc. Thanks!

Well the ideal would be to swap in a ho quad 4 with a getrag. thats over 80hp increase, its costly, but if you try running 180 hp on your iron duke, it will A) be more expensive and B) last about as long as a 1 dollar bill in a strip club. Performance for the 2.5 is limited as far as aftermarket accesories go, search for "the fiero store" they have some parts, but I wouldnt waste your money r time, they wont ever be fast. If you insist on still spending your money, do an exhaust with a high flow cat and muffler, you will see an increas there. I own one and I can tell you that its not worth the money to do anything except swap in an engine, and the quad 4 ho would be the only one worth doing. plan on new tranny, wiring harness, engine, and computer to do the swap. have fun.

yeah that's kinda what I was looking for, I was mainly going to use it as a show car, Bass Offs, Low Ryders, etc. btw, would you know anywhere I could get price quotes on CCE Hydraulic Kits?

Hay man.
I got a 1991 GA with the Iron duke, true there is little you can do for perform mods that wont cost you money, but I have found places that will custom make turbochargers for the 2.5, the price is actaully pretty reasonable considering it is custom made.
If you want to add a little HP for a reasonable cost, try this.

1: remove the damn AC (lesser the pulleys the more power free at the wheels)

2: replace the water pump with an electric water pump, or you can add a drive kit

3: with the intake setup that the 2.5 has, it is possible to add a ram air intake opening to you hood (hood scoop required)

4: lighten the weight, anything that is not carried by the suspension is robbing power

5: slam the grand am, the closer you are to the ground and the less air resistance you have under you hood, the more power and better the handling. but remember anything you add to the front, like air dams, you must also do to the rear. or you lose the entire effect

and also remember, the 2.5 has and iron block and some times iron heads, though it is alot heaver then the aluminum counter parts, it can also take more boast and a higher NOS shot

just my opinion.
