Replacing Monsoon/XM

Was wondering if I replace my monsoon/xm radio with another stereo...how will it affect my XM radio? Will it transfer over into the new unit or will I have to get a full new XM account?

The XM is built into the stock headunit. If the aftermarket one is XM ready than you will have to buy a XM reciever and a new antenna (because I don't think the stock one will work).

Then when you have it all installed you have to call XM and have them switch your account to the new radio.
