'79 Trans Am

My mom has her old '79, 6.6l in the garage. She only drives it every once and a while over the summer. So I've been begging her to let me and my dad build it up and get some body work done to it. And she always said no. So today she comes up to me and says, that if we really want to she'll let us have at it. Anyway just wanted to tell somebody =P. Its still in pretty good shape, all stock, and some minor body repairs need to be done but it'll give us something to do.

Nice! I used to own a '81 TA with a 301 and a '79 Trans Am with a Oldsmobile 403, TH350 tranny and 3.73:1s out back. Running the Competition cams 270 Maginum cam I could smoke the tire right from a stop to the top of 2nd gear and bark third leaving dark rubber marks the whole way. Only problem with the 403 is the wide flat intake manifold. Gives it nice lowend torque, but kills the topend hp.
