Not bad. '93 wasn't a very good year for the 4th gen and '94 they got a little better with some small bugs they worked out. Atleast it's an LT1 and you can find parts for them everywhere now days. And you have to love the sound of the adjustable borla FBody pipe, especially on a LT1.

yes... an lt1... i wouldn't downgrade to a 94 v6, even if it was a 6 speed. and i have the chance to get it for 4k$

I like how it looks near stock but has a ton of mods... no one will expect it.
I'd say go for it... for that price? Yea...

I dunno, 94's pretty old, you could probably get a decent deal elsewhere for the same price, or a little more on a newer model.
It looks nice, though. Only issue I have with 93-97 Camaros is those headlights. For some reason, the upgraded headlights on the 98+ models look better to me, I dunno, just a quirk of mine.
Nice car.

yeah, i'm kinda worried about the fact it has 120,000 miles... :\
but, the headlights are simple fix, just get some "smoke" covers, and it doubles the sexiness. :D

... no offence but I wouldn't go backwards by 10 years if I were you ... maybe, if you could afford it, as a second car but definitely not as a daily driver ... sorry if that isn't what you wanted to hear ... on the upside though, it does look to be in fairly good shape :)

cracked dash pad? didnt know the 4th gen had that problem also. For 4k its a nice buy but i dunno if i would get rid of your GA for it. although the LT1 is quite the reliable motor. Although its not like you live in a place where you get alot of snow so you could get by with it as a daily driver. Like John said alot of the bugs from 93 did get fixed for 94. if you do like it check the Intake manifold gasket and the Opti spark.(both are common problems, albeit about the only problems, with the LT1. i would say its a toss up. if it was me and i lived in that location it would be a no brainer for me, id go with the F-body. But im a diehard F-body enthusiast. if you do purchase it i would HIGHLY recomend getting a set of Sub-Frame Connectors. esp. with the short 3.73 rear.

yeah, i'm a huge fan of the f-bodies as well, so are a bunch of my friends, who are also eager for me to get it. the thing is... i'll have about 5k to mess with it after, so if i need to do anything, i should have the money to do so, and the lt1 should be good for at least another 30-50 thousand miles. but, then there's the worry of what if something does happen to it... agh, it'd suck.
i'm alright with the grand am right now, but, i've the chance to pick up a pretty nice used older, camaro, i'd die for a nice third gen, though this one's awesome too, so, i would like to take the chance.... mind you, i already checked with my insurance company, sadly, my rates would be just about the same.
i'm kinda skeptical to post this on another forum, like ls1.com, or another, but that's the only i know of, and yeah, we'll see, i still need to talk it over with my parents.

if you want a good site to post on and ask questions forget LS1.com(its only good for the little bit of porn they are allowed to post in the OT section:lol: ) I would go and talk to the very nice folks of LS1tech.com. Fbody.com is also a great place for soem nice folks to talk to that are full of info. 120k miles is alot but the LT1 can go for ALOT more. and honestly if the rates are going to stay the same and you'll have 5k left i would do it in a second. but what are his reasons for selling it? the only thing about the 4th gen i HATE is that damn cab forward design. half the freaking motor is under the dash! makes it a PITA to work on.

he had a wrx, then he got the camaro, and now just bought an older suburban back home and needs cash to pay for it.
i'm not sure about the situation with the intake manifold gasket, though he did say that the optispark distributor likes to fail. :\

yea the Opti spark is the biggest problem with the LT1. it sits under the water pump if i remeber right so if they start to leak it usually messes up the opti spark. IMO those are easy things to fix and can be done in a day.

me personally.. i would rather have a camaro then a GA in a heart beat... specially with all those mods.. that 3.73 gears maybe a little too tight for my likings but my dad dropped 3.55 gears in his HO stang... and damn that thing lights up the tires in 3 gears without trying most likely 4th... its just insane... but on the otherhand its a modified 5 liter

that's what i've read... multiple times. haha... although, supposedly at the last SEMA, msd is going to release a new better distributor cap/rotor. anyhow...
so, how much do you guys think i could get for my car? kbb says 11.7k.

If you can keep the grand then go for it, if you really want/like it... but if you have to get rid of the grand am then I wouldn't go for it...
