Well I came across an '88 G.A. w/ a LO quad 4 engine and std. tranny, and I'm working on possibly working on swapping the tranny into my 1991 G.A. w LO quad 4. I did see the sticky abou the swap, but are there any mods to the body that needs to be done ( are the mounts to the clutch pedal already present on my auto GA?) Stuff like that... please let me know with your info and experiences, and it will help me out. Also, has anyone experimented with a short throw shifter for the 88-91 GA's? I've seen a shifter for a '95 cavalier ( which has the Z34 Quad4 and std tranny.) Would this work?
