Well, after reading about all of the LIM problems I became a bit paraniod about it.

I decided to clean up my engine bay to spot any leaks as soon as they occur. I used turtle wax emerald series car wash and a soft bristle brush to clean everything up.

So lets see your under the hood pics =) Be sure they are current, not from a year ago :P

It looks wonderful...I just wish I wasn't such a wuss and could clean my engine bay myself...I'm too scared of damaging something.

Looks nice guys!

I was thinking about polishing up the lines above and below the 3100 lettering on the intake.

yeah i know everyone says spray that engine gunk cleaner on your engine cover the alternator and fuse panel and take it to the DIY car wash and spray im scared to do that what if sumtin ****s up that would just suck and especially living in canada its really hard to keep it clean.

if i lived in cali **** id clean it once and it would be good for months!

I bought my car 93 3300 grand am used and the engine was rather dirty so I took my pressure washer to it... didn't run into many problems but I made sure to let it sit a good good while before cranking it, the only issue I had was the ABS light would come on for a day and then fixed its self... I still need to do it all again with degreaser.

the best way to get an engine compartment to shine like new is to hose down the entire engine (when it's cool enough), soak it all with degreaser, rinse it all off, either let it air dry or blow dry it with an air chuck until all the plastics are bone dry, then spray some spray..... not foam tire shine on all the hoses and plastic pieces, i have done it to every car that i have detailed and they all have ran fine and looked spectacular......... 1 tip tho if your engine is dirty enough that degreaser won't clean it up and you need a pressure washer to clean it..... you really have to ask urself if it's worth the time to plug in all the sensors that you just disconected and does it really have to be cleaned
