No DRL / ALC with no SVS and no kit!

Ok so I was bored and decided to improve my setup of not having DRLs and ALC (automatic light control)

No SVS, no kit to wire!

Ok this works till you put the car in drive, then SVS, unless you turn the headlights on first. sorry :(

The only thing that works over the old method is the parking lights flashing with keyless entry, and might not get a SVS at night if only the DRL mod is done. i'm getting closer though...

is this the same in a 98? (as far as drl's go)... i dont mind the auto lights, but the drl's piss me off

same here! Magyver said that you could cut the wire from the e-brake since it shuts off the lights when pulled,hook a switch to that wire to turn them off and on when you want.

Maybe I am missing something but can someone explain to me why you all hate the DRL? And the ALC?

Well one reason to hate the DRLs is when you have headlight covers on, they look like crap with the headlights shining through them. And I hate the ALCs when i'm sitting in my car at night on break keepin warm and I don't wanna blind everyone in the parking lot

Ok that makes sense, but up here in NH headlight covers are illegal, so we don't have to worry about that. Thanks for explaining.
