They are relatively easy to install. As for brand quality...not too sure. Other people will know though.

guy on other site says anythign from japan will die in six months, and if you go above 6k, your losing output for color... the bulbs be come "painted" so whats the damn point? keep them at 4.3k and leave it, otherwise your a chode and will get pulled over instantly because these things are gonna glare to beat hell and the instant you pass a po po, your a$$ is gettin a ticket and by by expensive cheap a$$ HID's... truth hurts...

Is there still a high and low beam with the HID units?

I live out in the country and need more light (or to slow down).

w/ hids, once you have them, your not gonna need high beams anymore, its up to you if you want to buy 2 sets....thats the way you can have both...other wise you buy one set for your low beams...and your high beams stay stock

Personally HID's are best when in projectors. So you get the maximum use outta them

Phillips by far makes the best ballasts and HID bulbsbut they wont cost $299 like that kit! $299 with shipping is quite cheap but not sure how good the quality is. I know I wouldnt get anything over 6000K, cause thats just waste of performance! I've seen 8000K and the damn things i so blue it looks almost as purple. I doubt you can see anthing with it in heavy rain or snow!

Dont bother with high beams, once you get HID in your low beams even if you had HID in high it wont be noticable at all! You wnt need highs at all after you install HID's! Plus they light up any reflective material up to a mile away. Like cop car markings!
