just curious ... what's everyone's favorite (car) scent, and the best way to get it in your opinion.
I'm liking the french vanilla from the little baggie of rocks.
maybe not the best topic but it's going to possibly be a rough day, i just wanted something i could keep checking on.

Yankee Candle has air fresheners called "Car Jars". They are the best that I have found, but I am too embarassed to go into the store so I have my mom buy them. They are a little expensive($1.99), but they last longer than the trees.

Vanilla for me too... Although no air fresheners in the new GT yet, it still has the "new car" scent. :) I have vanilla in the F150 though. :)

... funny, so does mine  ... but, more on topic, the wife is alergic to air fresheners so I can't have any :)

The new car scent is the worst air freshener I've ever smelled.

I've never used car freshener in my car. I use Mother's Preserve to shine my dash and it smells like cherry and new car... I love that smell... it's time to reclean my interior!!

I'm not a big fan of the "leaves" as they seem to wear out quickly. I usually buy the little gel filled round things. (not sure of the brand) I like the strawberry scent. Also, a little of Febreeze or Bounce fabric refresher on the seats and carpet helps.

My wife stuck a Cini-Berry tree in my car the other day. I was worried that it would be all "girlie smilling". But WOW, that stuff is great. Gets rid of the smoke smell too. Also lasted longer than the Spongebob trees I buy.

I agree with the Yankee Candle car fresheners. I bought one in Jan. called "clean cotton". It smells like clean clothes that just came out of the dryer. It still smells, and it's April. When that wears out, I'm definitely getting another one. It is the best smell. It's not too girlie, it's fresh and clean, and it's not overbearing. It's really good.:D

I like bouquet by Car Fresheners. It has a good smell but I don't know where to find it anymore. It's been a while since i've had it. :( Not in the '02 of course, it still has the new car smell. :)

Well, if it's in the GF's 240SX, I've got a couple of Bounce Dryer sheets under the seats... that smells nice :)
I usually use the New car scent from ultra Norsk, but It's running out... gotta get some of those too.
BTW: best way to get the most out of the Leaves is to take about half out of the package, and use some tape to fold up the rest of the celophane, after a few weeks, take the rest of the package off, and you're set for a few more weeks. It also isn't bloody overpowering at first.
I've found, however, that I'm liking the smell of squash scent beads more.

I personally use the little spray bottle freshners. The ones I buy are froma local company and they make all the regular scents plus a fresh baked cookies scent which is pretty good actually.
I use the new car scent and it smells like the real thing
I give the car a few sprays each night before parking it for the night and after someone smokes in it.
I usually spray the back seat and the front floor area

I use the old hanging tree New Car Scent that most of you hate, lol. I change it every week, sometimes every 2 weeks.

Haha, I use it too, I think it's pretty good. But if you read the directions on the back of the package, you can use it up to seven weeks by moving the bag down about half an inch per week. I've found that this actually works quite well.

I tried that before and I found that it doesn't give that much of a smell so for the price of them I just use new ones, lol.

I use that gel stuff too. It's from a company called Medo and it's called Super Gel 2000. I haven't got any for my new car yet but I had the Outdoor Breeze stuff in my old car and it smelled good and lasted for a few months. I'll have to try some other scents when I get a chance.

I've got a large mouth bass shaped freshener in my car. I have no idea what the scent is, but it works, and that's all that matters lol. I got it at K-Mart for about $2.
