Consider Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. They are very good for money.

But are they $10?

Good choice in lights. Get the 893 fog lights

Are they the 880s or the 893s?

Would it be easier to just get replacement bright bulbs or just replace the entire foglights themselves?

The 893 are the same bulb, only a higher wattage I think. Overall if you have the money I'd recommend replacing the plastic foglights with either blazertech 3200 or hella optilux 2500 driving lights. Both use H3 type bulbs and will install with only a little bit of wiring work.

would it be better to do that or just get bulbs. I have the money to get new ones.

I would recommend the Hella Optilux 2500 (angel eyes) also. These are an awesome upgrade that will enhance your visibility on the road. I have a set and I love them! They are really easy to wire up too.

Yeah they aren't too expensive. They are the ones in my avatar but aren't green like that, they look like the picture in my sig. Azrael has the same. I also have some pics of them in another thread if you want more pics.

Those directions in the link seem extremely difficult.

Use the link for directions found below for installation. Your bracket is different though so you won't have to do any cutting. It's reatively simple, just awkward. If you have any questions just send me a PM.

OK. I just don't like the idea that I have to run new wires and a new switch inside the car.

That's not all that difficult really. Since you already have run a power wire for your system, just run it through the firewall using that hole. Other than that, you don't have to do to much wiring.

i used a set of $20 ones from walmart (it was like $2 more than just buying bulbs for my stock ones which sucked), they use h3 bulbs and have a glass housing (NO plastic lenses) and are freaken bright at night (brighter than my high beams) i will try to get model #, they work just fine of my stock foglight switch. All i needed for a bracket was a angle bracket for either side and just adjusted the screws on the fog lights to make them in the hole.
