Hmmm I like brake overlays but not a fan if it's say the same thing already on the back of the car.

Example if the back of the car says GrandAmGT I'd put a 'RamAir' overlay. Or a Grand Am SE, I would find a '3400SFI' overlay or something. You may not have a 3400 but I was using it as an example.

its always nice to have little mods,it has a subtle change,enough to make the person behind you,if they have a Grand Am,to say,where they get that or thats cool. Get some overlays from Grafxwerks or CustomGrandAm.com and you'll stand out,very easy mods and simple to get.

i was thinking the same exact thing, then brought to my mind that i have "Grand Am GT" badges with a "Grand Am GT" 3rd brake light overlay..whoops!

I had the badging removed from mine, and the overlay said Grand Am.. so I guess it didn't really matter.. but I had the whole car cleaned from any of the tacky stick on badging.. it looked more sleek that way.

that way when it lights up, and you look at the back of the car it will say:

having you engine size on the 3rd brake light is kinda..... I dunno... wierd :) it would probably grow on me through....

Mine says GT, because we just got 2 bulbs in our 3rd brake light and if you do anything different, the word doesn't light up evenly. The G and the T have their own bulb so they light up evenly.

I don't have it, those are photos from GrafxWerks.com.

I would guess that it wouldn't be as bright as without since it is indeed covering some of the lense surface. But by looking at the photos it still looks rather bright.

Take the Grand Am badging off the trunk. Looks kinda funny with grand am on the brake light, then says it again couple inches down.

i prefer the clean look.. shaved.. to me, what you got there is guady.. i dont like cars that have to say what they are ALL over them.. plus, i would rather have my 3rd brake light be as bright as possible as it may save your arse from gettin rammed... i prefer saftey vs fashion.. thats why i put 78 led's in mine..
